 Top story!

In addition to the annual scholarship award, Peninsula Arts Association also funds an Art Enrichment Program. The program provides fully supplied art boxes with comprehensive lesson plans plus additional art supplies requested by teachers from the Ocean Beach and Naselle Grays River Valley School Districts.

PAA also provides supplies and volunteers for matting and hanging of student art for the annual display at Ocean Park Elementary, chalk for children during the Ocean Park 4th of July parade, volunteers to judge and assist with sidewalk chalk as part of the City of Long Beach summer festival activities and take-away ornaments for the Santa’s Workshop gathering sponsored by the Ocean Park Area Chamber and held at the Ocean Park Fire Station.

Be creative

Membership meetings often include informative programs such as:
  • how to frame and mat your art;
  • marketing your art;
  • how to prepare a professional art portfolio.
Members share information on local and online resources for materials, printing and other art related items. And there is the camaraderie of fellow artists working together to support each others goals and learning.

Upcoming events

Members of PAA are eligible to participate in the Spring and Fall Art Shows and the November Studio Tour. These events bring awareness of work by local artists and the sales help support our art community.
